Die Krywagen

Ah Riaan Krywagen (I only found that out after a couple of "SABC Newsreader with great hair" searches, hey I may even be wrong).

In all my life I don’t think I can remember a time when chooning over to the Afrikaans news (by mistake, honestly) and not been greeted by "the dude with the hair".

He has always made me laugh. That distinctive Afrikaans accent which I always try to emulate when shooting the breeze with the many traffic pigs I come into contact with on the way from P-Town to Sabi. The hair do's of hair do's, none other comes close. He's like Maggie, Bart and Lisa except a tad older, he never grows a day older than the early 50 year old he is. When he walks through the hallowed SABC halls I bet every single other employee bows down to kiss his crocodile skin boots, cause he truly is a news reader P-I-M-P. Have you seen how he even brushes his shoulder off before his trade mark "En nou in die nuus"? Class I tell you, class. There has been no single other TV personality that has brought SA television from the black and white days to the current colour. I'm going out on a limb here (and I may even lose a couple) to say he is the ONLY worthy afrikaaner to be in the list of the Top 100 South Africans, well him and Woltemade (c'mon the dude rode a pretty horsie).

I swear if or when I go bald on top (99% chance of not happening by the way) I'm going with The Krywagen Comb-over baby, Wooo!
